By way of the Rotary Foundation’s Global Grants program, Rotary Foundation students receive scholarships to support their graduate studies or research for one to four academic years.
An approved University abroad, where there is a host Rotary club or district, outside the applicant’s home country.
Level/Field(s) of Study:
Coursework or research on one of Rotary’s six core interests: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.
Non-Rotarians sponsored by Rotary District or Clubs
This minimum budget can be used for the following: Passport or visa, Inoculations, Travel expenses, Schools supplies, Tuition, Room and board, Household supplies, Language training courses (but not if entering the university is dependent on improvement of language skills).
Scholarship funding is not used to cover most expenses, including personal and miscellaneous expenses.

Inquiry about sponsorship of the grant can be directed to their local Rotary clubs via Rotary Club Locator.
An initial application is submitted online. The sponsor clubs or districts create it, and the scholar candidate also fills out a scholar profile online.
The Foundation accepts applications throughout the year on a rolling basis, but applications should be submitted at least three months in advance of the scholar’s intended departure date to allow adequate time for review and processing. A Rotary Club/District may set its own timeline.
